7 miles

After all my belly-achin’ this morning, I managed to pound out a really great run!  I had 7 miles on the schedule and I finished in 62:09, 8:53 pace.  Basically I switched between 6.5 and 7.0 every half mile for 6 miles.  Then the last mile I started at 6.0 and increased every quarter mile to 6.5, 7.0, and 8.0 to finish.  The best part?  I finished feeling like I could have run even more!  That was a much needed confidence boost!

Around here, the indoctrination of running starts early.

Leo loves my new running shoes and box.  The shoes themselves aren’t in use yet, but they were a great price (almost half off!) so we bought them to have on hand for when I do need new ones.  And guess who’s starting to sit on his own with just a little help for balance?

Mosie isn’t so sure about this.

On a completely different note, these random, very gross looking bugs keep periodically showing up in our family room.  Anyone know what they are??

  1. Yuck that’s a stink bug!!! My sister has tons of those in Pennsylvania and I have spotted a couple in NJ already. Not good. Just flush them, don’t smash them. Congrats on a speedy 7!

  2. Creepy Bug!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Mosers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome awesome run this am. I love a confidence boost like that. Wtg! When will Leo get his own kicks? 🙂

  3. I demand you post about your new found work status and that you require gifts from your blog friends as well.

  4. Stink bugs! You can flush em or crate a tub of water and dish soap and drown them.

Some people call them shield bugs. People say they are cyclical and hit Virginia real hard 2 years ago.
