things I’m loving

1. For drinking: Starbucks “blonde roast” coffee.  I generally don’t get coffee at Starbucks because I find it way too bitter and strong.  But their new blonde roast is really good – way more mellowed out.  My coworker brought it to work on Tuesday and then sent me home with a sample pack.  Now I would actually buy coffee at Starbucks!

2. For eating: wheat tortilla with peanut butter and sesame seeds.  A great snack or part of lunch.  The sesame seeds give a nice crunch – plus, they are crazy good for you.  From whfoods.com:

3. For watching: Gilmore Girls, season 3.  I’m watching the entire series while I run.  I just started season 3 and I’m definitely hooked.  The first season was “meh,” but it keeps getting better as it goes!

4. For doing: downward dog.  My back has been a little sore (improper baby-holding technique, probably) and my legs are very tight (yesterday’s long run).  Downward dog feels so so good!

  2. Love me some Gilmore Girls! If there is such thing as a comfort show, that would be mine.
    Things I’ve been loving: 1. My Fitness Pal: keeping me motivated to eat more veggies!
    2. Having fun with my exercises: the last two weeks I’ve been doing whatever I want instead of some sort of regiment. I was nervous that meant I’d slack off, but I’m finding more enjoyment with my sweat sessions! 3. My upcoming trip to Florida (even though it’s in 6 weeks), I can’t wait for some sun!

  3. I love Gilmore Girls! I wish it was still on!

    I’m loving: planning my move-in with my boyfriend in May, blueberries, and seeing Valentine’s decorations and candy in stores. (V-Day is my birthday)

  4. 1. Getting the keys to our first house on Monday!
    2. Making vegan pelmenis (if you’ve never had them…you need to…)
    3. Dark chocolate and red wine
    4. EOS lip balm and NYX slide-on eyeliner pencils
    5. ‘Til Death on Netflix…pretty amusing show!

        They’re like little Russian dumplings. Normally they have meat inside but since we’re vegan I just make a potato filling, and instead of an egg in the dough I use ground flax and water.

        You can top them with a lot of things, but we like melted vegan butter, Sriracha hot sauce, parsley, and the Mr. likes vegan sour cream on them too. (I think traditionally it’s sour cream, melted butter and parsley?)

        (Also…if you end up making these, and I do recommend making them, they’re worth the work…I don’t freeze them first, unless I make too many, then I freeze the extras. I just make them fresh and then drop them in the boiling water and treat them like ravioli – when they float to the top, they’re done. Usually takes less than a minute, and I do them in batches so they don’t stick together!)

  5. Ohmygoodness! I LOVE Gilmore Girls! I watch all the seasons once a year. My boyfriend dreads those months, but I can’t get enough. LOVE.
