planning for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is pretty easy for me, as I’m not responsible for cooking a whole dinner.  Tomorrow Dave and Leo and I will go to Fort Wayne to enjoy Thanksgiving with my aunt and uncle.  I’m supposed to bring applesauce.  I’m pretty sure defrosting some homemade applesauce isn’t too challenging.  However, I do have a special Thanksgiving breakfast planned: cinnamon roll baked oatmeal (complete with delicious frosting)!  I’m going to alter the recipe a bit to use steel cut oats instead.  If it turns out, I’ll post the recipe!

Thanksgiving morning will, of course, involve a family run.  This year’s run is going to be a little different… but I’ll wait to tell you more til afterwards (with pictures!).

What are you most looking forward to with Thanksgiving?  I’m excited for time off and to see family.  The food is good, but it’s not the most exciting part to me (there isn’t a Thanksgiving dish that I die for).

And of course, super grateful for our little turkey.

  1. I’m most looking forward to spending sometime with my nephew, Emitt. But I’m still sick so I’m not sure I’ll get too much one on one time with any of my husband’s family tomorrow. Hopefully the mashpotatoes are good. I know I can’t get those sick! 🙂

  2. Wait… where is the threaten post of me laying on your desk. I have been waiting all day to see what you would write.
