One thing our house is lacking is wall art.  We only have two pictures hung in the house – one over the sink and one in the laundry room.  Not very exciting.  Good thing we have some old-house trim and charm to help tide us over.  Dave and I aren’t anti-wall art, we just haven’t had a chance to get some framed and hung.  However, this weekend we more than doubled the wall art in our house!

We originally planned to put our handprints in these frames – one for Dave, one for me, one for Leo.  But we quickly realized that getting a baby’s handprint is really dang hard.  Actually pretty impossible.  So we scrapped that idea and went with black and white photos!

Little Leo on his own (he looks just like his ultrasound profile in this picture!)

We have one more piece of art to frame and hang in the room – but I’ll leave that as a surprise for when we do!

What house project or craft have you completed lately?

  1. What happens when you try to get a baby’s handprint?

I like the photos! We don’t have much up either. Steven painted some stuff for our dining room a few years ago but we haven’t done much lately. I print photos and plaster them all over the house, but not in frames.

  2. I love the clean, crisp look of the black & white…and it’s so vogue right now!! What room did you hang the grouping in?
