Friday morning at 7:30am my train rolled in to Erie, PA. My brother-in-law, Keegan, picked me up from the train station. We grabbed coffee and hurried home – I was ready to meet this little girl!
Astrid is just about a month old and so sweet. It’s easy to forget how little a baby is when your own is a tank of a toddler. I loved all the baby snuggles! And getting time with both my sisters was awesome, too. We hung out and talked, passed around Astrid, watched movies, cleaned the house, took a walk, fed the chickens, did laundry.
We also ate some amazing food. Keegan is the king of breakfasts. On Sunday morning he cooked up this for Kel and I:
Pretzel bread sliced in half, one side with an egg over medium and one stuffed full of sauteed greens and tomatoes with caramelized onions. Better than anything I’ve ever had at a restaurant, hands down.
Meanwhile, back home, Dave and Leo were having some boys’ fun. Leo got to pal around with his buddy Silas. (Silas refers to Leo as his “always best friend” which is the cutest. They have so much fun together.)
And they took lots of walks!
We both had such great weekends. It’s hard to get back in the groove of the work week already!
