After some paltry running months I hit 153 miles for February. I watched a lot of movies. My favorite was Easy A with Emma Stone. I hadn’t heard of it before but I loved it! I finished the month with Riding in Cars with Boys. Drew Barrymore consistently annoys me and this movie was no exception.
And the books this month:
- In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez
- The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
- A Sweethaven Summer by Courtney Walsh
I started off the month reading The Temple of My Familiar by Alice Walker, but I just could not finish it. It was taking me forever and I wasn’t in to it at all, so about halfway through I waved my white flag and grabbed up Julia Alvarez. In the Time of the Butterflies is one of my favorite books and I still love it just as much every time I read it (which is about once a year). After I finished that I didn’t get a chance to go to the library, so I pulled out The Lovely Bones. It’s been awhile since I’ve read it and I actually liked it more than before… or I forgot how much I liked it before. Either way, it’s a winner. And I finished the month with a book I borrowed from Shannan. It’s a quick and light read, but definitely keeps you turning the pages. I think it would be such a good book for a roadtrip or plane ride – something that really sucks you in and pulls you along, but a storyline that is easy to keep straight.
What have you been reading or watching lately?

I’m still knee-deep in Radical and Respectable Sins. And yesterday I watched Hope Springs and started Flight – I’m going to finish that today and watch Brave w/Mylin. Want to rent Pitch Perfect and Baby Mama next
(Yes – husband is gone and I am bored!) Plus I want to see nearly ALL the movies nominated for Best Picture….did any of them sound/look interesting to you?!

Nice miles!
I love Emma Stone!
Hmm. We haven’t watched anything totally great this month. Lame. I watch a lot of crap!
